• We understand that choosing an assisted-living facility is often an emotional and difficult task, and we want to make your choice to live at The Villas an easy one. That is why everything you will need at The Villas is available to you at one monthly, all-inclusive price.  Due at the beginning of each month, your monthly Villas rent includes:

• All of our apartments are cozy, spacious, and designed for your safety

• An easily-accessed kitchenette including refrigerator, four-burner stove, double-sink, and ample counter space and cabinetry
• Sizable walk-in closets; lower shelving keeps your belongings within reach
• Large bathroom with a focus on safety. Safety handles are conveniently placed to assist you. Every shower has a seat and all our toilets are high profile. Each bathroom has a conveniently located, emergency pull cord.  Each bathroom is fully equipped. Your personal belongings/toiletries are all you need.

24-hour, on-site staffing

• At The Villas, our responsible, well-trained Resident Assistants are on duty and awake twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Because of our twenty-four hour staffing we handle all emergencies immediately with no need to wait for an off-site manager or emergency service to respond.

 

Close-proximity to St. Joseph’s Hospital, Emergency Room & Healthplex

• The Villas is literally .4 miles from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese. That is a mere fifty-two second distance. If you ask any of our residents and/or their family they will tell you that our proximity to St. Joseph’s Hospital was the deciding factor when they made The Villas their independent living choice. St. Joseph’s close proximity makes it easy and convenient for you to make routine doctor’s appointments whether you drive yourself or use our free luxury bus service. Most importantly, should an emergency situation arise, you are seconds away from an emergency room and skilled physicians. St. Joseph’s Hospital is home to many family physicians and experienced specialists. Also, just down the street from The Villas is Doctor Clinton Smith’s Chiropractic Office and Breese Oncology. There is also a dialysis center less than two miles from The Villas. Finally, St. Joseph’s Healthplex is right across the street from The Villas. As prescribed by your doctor you can access the Healthplex for all our your exercise, rehabilitation and physical therapy needs.

 

The city of Breese has it’s own ambulance service

• Should an emergency situation arise while you are living at The Villas a member of our twenty-four hour staff will immediately call an ambulance for you. Because Breese has it’s own ambulance service and since the ambulances and EMT’s are housed only 1.6 miles from The Villas you will have an EMT at your side in just three to four minutes. Breese EMT’s respond rapidly to calls making their services invaluable to The Villas and it’s residents.

 

Three chef-prepared meals a day.

• Leave all the cooking to us. The Villas’ chef plans and executes every meal with your tastes and dietary needs in mind. Our chef uses little to no salt so that you can salt your own food based on your own dietary needs. You will never leave your seat hungry because our chef knows that when it comes to food you want a hearty, healthy, soul-warming meal every time. And that ‘s what he delivers: the kind of comfort food that warms you to the core. Each one of your delicious meals will be served to you as soon as you take a seat in one of our two dining rooms. At The Villas you never have to worry about tackling a buffet line. Want to sit and talk with friends after dinner? Upon completing your meal we will quickly remove your finished plate and do all the dishes for you. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the same time everyday so you never have to guess when mealtime is.

 

Housekeeping

• Why spend all your time doing household chores when you could be living at The Villas enjoying yourself! Make the most of your retirement. The Villas housekeeping staff will clean your apartment to your liking every week. Including windows. That means no mopping, scrubbing, dusting, vacuuming or yard work. You will live comfortably knowing your apartment will always be clean, and you will live with peace of mind knowing you won’t have to perform those difficult chores anymore.

 

Home health care

• Home health care is medical treatment from skilled nurses in the comfort and familiarity of your home and must be prescribed by your doctor. The Villas has very close relationships with local home healthcare agencies. In fact, there is an agency located right in our building. Should you need any in-home physical therapy or other services our in-house home healthcare agency is available to help you. A nurse will come to your apartment as prescribed by your doctor and then bill supplemental insurance companies or Medicare for their services.

 

Emergency response system

• At The Villas we utilize two different and uniquely affective forms of emergency response systems called Code Alert Quick Response. Each resident is given their own push-button pendant to either wear as a necklace or carry with them in their pocket. A resident could be anywhere in the building and all they need to do is push the button on the pendant and a member of The Villas’ staff will be able to locate that specific resident and come to their immediate aid. Our other form of Code Alert Quick Response is a pull cord conveniently located in every resident’s bathroom. With these two emergency response systems a member of our staff can assist a resident in need in just mere seconds.

 

Medication reminders

• The Villas will relieve you of all the hassles associated with medications. Whether you need a new prescription or just need to reorder an old one we will handle all communication with the pharmacy for you. The pharmacy then sends us a med box containing all your prescriptions packed according to the specific time each dose must be taken. We then lock your individual med box in a special cabinet in your apartment. At the appropriate time a Resident Assistant will politely knock and enter your apartment and remind you to take your medication. We must note, though, that it is the resident's responsibility actually take the medication. We merely remind the resident to take it. After the reminder, the Resident Assistant will then return the med box to it’s secure home in your apartment. At The Villas you will live with peace of mind knowing you will never forget to take your medication again.

 

Laundry and linens

• Laundry is a hassle, and it seems to never end! At The Villas not only do will clean all your laundry and linens for you, but we do so on an individual basis. Your laundry will never be done in bulk. It will never be washed along with another resident’s laundry. All laundry and linens are done weekly.

 

Free transportation

• In order to best serve our residents The Villas owns both a luxury bus and a mini van. These two vehicles allow us to provide free, scheduled, local transportation to our residents. Whether you need to venture out for doctor’s appointments, shopping, banking, community events, religious services or entertainment transportation is free to any place local. Furthermore, our Event Coordinator organizes cultural outings and shopping trips to places like Fairview Heights, Illinois, and St. Louis, Missouri. These scheduled excursions are also free.
