Activities

Our managers and Activities Coordinator work hard to develop events and coordinate activities for our residents, and we rely on our residents’ feedback when planning these social gatherings. Each month we come out with a new calendar of fun and exciting events that allow our residents to stay active and socialize with their family and friends. Some activities are hosted within The Villas, and thanks to our luxury bus, other events take place within the community.

Examples of in-house activities:

• Instructor-driven exercise classes with routines focused on arthritis
• Games such as bingo, cards and dominoes
• Competitions and games on our Wii video game system
• Weekly musical entertainment
• Movie night
• Happy hour
• Craft time in our activity room
• Do-it-yourself decorations for holidays and special occasions

 

Examples of outside excursions:

• Weekly shopping in Fairview Heights
• Breakfast and lunch outings to local restaurants
• Powell Symphony Hall, The Fox Theatre
• Local concerts
• Seasonal eagle watching in Alton, Illinois
• Fishing trips
• Country drives in our luxury bus capped off with an ice cream stop
